Sustainable Materials
This soap dish is handcrafted in Oregon, USA from Poplar. The artist collects scraps and ends from a large lumber supplier in the Portland area. These smaller pieces are salvaged and reshaped to create these beautiful dishes.
Poplar wood is a fast-growing sustainable hardwood that grows in abundance here in North American. It performs exceptionally well with water and moisture exposure. Poplar wood can have some color variation – from a white cream to a light, almost minty green.
Care and Suggested Use
A soap dish significantly extends the life of a bar of soap – but did you know that you can also extend the life of your soap dish? Use your soap dishes in pairs to make them last longer. Use one dish for 2-3 weeks, then wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Set it aside and allow it to fully dry out. Use a second soap dish for the next 2-3 weeks while the first dish is drying out. Alternating wood soap dishes this way will greatly extend the life of the dish.

I bought this to use in my shower for my bar soap and it’s beautiful! Makes it look spa like and it really preserves my soap. Much better than a plastic container! Highly recommend.

Bought this wooden soap dish for my kitchen to hold the bar of dish soap. Very well made. It looks good on my sink surround; much better than the reused butter tub that was employed with the previous soap holding duties. Highly recommended.
