Did you know that having dirty refrigerator coils can cause your fridge to use more energy? Having dust, hair, or dirt collected on the coils makes the refrigerator work extra hard and can even reduce the lifespan of your fridge
How to Clean Refrigerator Coils for Optimal Performance
- Unplug your refrigerator
- Locate the coils. There can usually be found underneath or on the back of your refrigerator.
- Use a dry brush and fairly stuff brush to remove dust. Use a vacuum to clean up the dust (and vacuum off the brush if necessary).
- Plug your refrigerator in.
Repeat every six months to keep your refrigerator running well.
