Plastic-free, plantable greeting cards that grow wildflowers! Perfect for tough stuff, happy stuff, and everything in between!

Each greeting is printed plantable seed paper that grows wildflowers and includes a recycled kraft paper envelope.

Printed with water-based inks (~80%)

Materials

Cards: Made with plantable seed paper — a biodegradable eco-paper made from 100% post-consumer recycled materials collected from schools and businesses (no trees harmed in the making!).
Printed with water-based inks (~80%) the remainder of the ink is pigments, which are tested by a 3rd party lab to ensure they do not leave harmful residues in the soil.
Envelopes are made with 100% recycled kraft paper (50% post-consumer waste).
Seeds include 6 different types of wildflower seeds: Bird’s Eye, Clarkia, Catchfly, Snapdragon, and Sweet Alyssum (annuals), plus Black Eyed Susan (Perennial). These seeds are all non-GMO and also tested by a 3rd party lab to ensure they are free of noxious weeds. Please note that individual states may have their own regulations about what is and isn’t “invasive” in the area — please check your state’s list of invasive species before planting! 🙂

About the Brand: Thoughtful Human

Thoughtful Human® is a woman-owned company based in Oakland, California. Founder Ali has been on a complex journey with grief since losing her favorite human to colon cancer in 2011. She watched many family members and friends struggle with addiction and other mental health issues. These cards exist to help people find honest ways to communicate in challenging circumstances and relationships like these. Caring deeply about people and the planet, they are involved in organizations and community events – including walks for cancer, suicide prevention, and more. They hold a plastic-free and zero-waste promise.
